Bug - Post update, cannot drag and drop dice on map tokens

This is a serious gap in functionality for us.

To recreate:

1) Open a map. Put tokens on it. Put tokens in the combat tracker.
2) Open a character sheet with actions containing dice.
3) Drag dice onto character. Note it does not roll.
4) Open the Combat Tracker.
5) Drag same dice onto the same target, but on the Combat Tracker. Note that this does work.

Have you tried adding to the combat tracker first and then from the CT to the map? That order is specifically required for them to be fully hooked up.

Yes. I routinely load monsters to the combat tracker and then place them on the map through course of normal play.

So your step #1 is wrong. Only drag tokens to the map from the Combat Tracker (or te Encounter instance when predefining token location).

By dragging a token to the map from anywhere but the CT, it will not be the same instance of the NPC as the one you drag to the CT. Hence why dragging onto the map instance doesn't work.

Of course you're correct.

It doesn't matter. I cannot roll dice against map targets even when placed from the combat tracker since the last compatibility breaking update.

Do you mean to say you can?

Okay, found the issue. It appears to be the Portals mod. I'm notifying the developer via their Discord.

Glad you figured it out :)
Anytime you have problems after an update, it's always best to see if you can reproduce without any extensions.
I myself always wait several days before updating, that way other people figure out any problems with extensions :)
