View Full Version : Issue when Moving LoS Wall Points (FG Unity)

So, I have Hoard of the Dragon Queen and one of the maps (or more?) has all the wall and door points offset a little relative to the map. This is a known issue that I found a thread to here prior to my purchase (12/2021), but it was apparently never fixed. To fix this, I attempted to highlighted every point and move them as a group. See attached picture. It created a whole bunch of more wall points and tons of more lines in the upper left corner. At first, I was able to leave the program and it wasn't saved. I tried again, same thing. I tried to highlight a small area (around 6 points), and that worked. I then highlighted more (maybe 30?), and the same problem occurred. That time, it saved it before freezing up, so I'm stuck with it. If I do any one thing thing with the map, the program freezes. And I didn't know how to undo at the time (was told later that CTRL-Z works).

At this point, I doubt there's a way to just fix what's there, so I'm probably stuck with having to reload the adventure. How do I do that? Will anything else that I've created be lost? I do know that any changes I make to the adventure stuff will be wiped out, but I've tried to avoid making many changes to adventure stuff (story, encounters, etc).

Thanks,

Emongnome

Highlighting multiple points for movement via area select is a known issue.

For now, you can select all the points on a single entity by double clicking on that point. Not as good as selecting all the points and entities at once, but until this is fixed its what we have to do.

To get back to the module "default", right click and select Revert on the image.

I wasn't aware that there was an issue with this map. It's too late tonight but I'll get that fixed tomorrow and get an updated module out ASAP.

Thanks so much for the responses. I've been DMing for a few months (1 game per 4 weeks, so it goes slowly). Still learning a lot about the software, but I enjoy it from both sides of the screen.
