Out of curiosity, how have these monsters compared in playtesting to monsters from the SRD with similar CR? Easier, tougher...?

That is really a question based on personal opinion, and the playtesting happened several years ago (and I was not involved). My best advice would read reviews of the product linked to Dragonwing Games' website:

https://dragonwing.net/Comp_Minions.htm

Personal, I think they are extremely well balanced by Challenge Rating.

Hey what about a similar thing for SW ruleset users? I doubt it would be as complicated as the 3.5 one to produce, and having linked token/sheets for more critters would be a welcome addition...

I know I'd be willing to shell out some dough for some good pre-made critters.

There are SW Beastiary Toolkits we have in line for conversion. Right now I don't have a date, but they are in the plans.

Thats great news Kevin. I don't always have the time or energy to create every encounter so having a few more kicking around just makes my job easier.

Sgain, if you are looking for some premade critters, you might want to check out https://www.zombienirvana.com/savage/SavageBeasts.pdf. I like the variety of beasts for different genres. A little cut and paste and you have an excellent beast module to use.
