[5e] How do I make logs on my calendar yearly events?

I've created a calendar filled with events, which are meant to be yearly, however changing the year makes them all vanish.

How do I make a 'log' that I enter against one date repeat on that day every year? Is it possible?

Not without changing the calendar xml code.

You'll need to copy/paste the entry from one year into the next year.

Possibly, I could change the code.. or have a go at it. Do you have any idea what I would specifically need to tweak, Zacchaeus, or do you know of ay guides I can read for it?
