One of the libraries in the installation has been moved/blocked as part of the update. Specifically, the graphics library that allows graphics files to be loaded from disk at runtime is not loading.
First, try checking your Windows Defender and/or any other antivirus tools to see if any files were quarantined.
Next, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the application. (Your campaign files are not touched in the uninstall; so they will still remain.)

This didn't help. Some of tokens and portraits of PCs missed. That happens with some images too (map with lot of notes on it example), and strange that links that I have to this map open very previous version of map that's changed many times already

Also many stories were deleted. I think these stories were linked through the map, it was original content of the Descent into Avernus and edited by me later. Right now all these stories have changed to original without any of my notes. Please help, latest update delete a lot of my content

It looks like official module Descent into avernus loades after campaign files and changes it to original

In addition to what Moon Wizard posted above your campaign files may have gotten corrupted. Try reverting to a previous version of your campaign. Details here https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1207304196/Restore+Campaign+to+an+Earlier+Save
Note that any additions or edits that you make to an adventure (whether stories, images, NPCs etc) are all preserved in your campaign files and an update to the module will not reveret thos changes back to the original - unless you deliberately do that yourself. Also the last time Descent into Avernus was updated was back in August I think.

Try deleting the cache folder for that campaign in your FG data folder. (accessible via the folder button on the FG launch screen)
Previously, I believe we were all under the assumption that this was for a campaign you are GMing.

I have tried to revert with db files. It helps a little (characters appears again, that were missed before), but stories were changed by original module. I don’t think that it is happening because of the module update. It happened after latest program update

This is getting very confusing. Do we have a player who has an issue or a DM who has an issue. Or do we have both player and DM having issues.
Can you more fully explain the problems please so that we can provide more solid advice. (Reverting the db is only needed if the DMs campaign is corrupted - this would affect all players not just one. If only one player is having an issue then the problem is on their end and doesn't affect the DM).

I am DM. We played my campaign last Sunday (9 october) and all were ok. Yesterday I started fantasy grounds and it asks for update, that I completed, after that I load my campaing (there were a few red line during the load, I thought it is because one of my extentions) and find out thar no charecters in combat tracker, party sheet and in charecter menu. I searched forum and find out that I can load previous db file, and it helps to regain missed charecters BUT. After that I find that charecters didnt have portraits and tokens, one of the map of my campaign had been changed to original
Here example of the changes that I made when I prework this module. I add some Stories on the map or remake that already existed (and rename it - add specific letter and number at the beggining of the name) you can see it below
54711
And while the new stories that I add to campaign is still exist , the original stories on this map had been returned to its previous form (name as well as content)
Here is example

This is a HUGE problem for me because I have made a lot of work and now it gone.

I think we need to know what the 'few red lines' were. It does sound like something interfered and it probably is an extension.
Any changes that you made to anything in the module will have been preserved. As I said above updating the module does not, by itself, overwrite your changes. You have to deliberately do that yourself.
Can you provide a screenshot of the contents of your campaign folder showing the size of the files (click on details in the view menu at the top of the window). It would also be helpful if you could tell us what the few red lines you mentioned actually said.
Also can you say whether your post has anything at all to do with the original post which started this thread?

I absolutely didn't do it by myself, it is very hard to do accidentally because there are a lot of stories and I have to remake each of them again, it is impossible.
About red lines. I don't consider to make screenshot after first time when it appears, but now I see only one red line

I tried to load my campaign without extentions, but nothing changes
Sorry, I don't remember what they said but , text of each other was very similar and between them were many normal lines
Here is the screenshot of campaign folder

About something similar with original thread, actually I don't know. I read that after update user didn't find some imagies and thought that it is comparable with my problem, but now I am not so sure, because I am DM actually, not a player
I find out that when I load very last save of campaign there are no charecters at all but about 5-10 sec after they appear.

I'm pretty sure that the error you have is being caused by an extension. Some extensions will leave code in the db.xml and so even if it's deleted that code will remain and cause errors.
And sorry but I need a screenshot of the campaign contents showing the size of the files. At the top of the window you'll see a menu bar; click on the View tab and then select details. Whilst you are there also check the 'File name extensions' button and take a screenshot of the result.

The "activatetargeting" control referenced in that error no longer exists in any of the built-in rulesets.
So, either there is still an extension active; or there are rulesets that are running old versions. Make sure to delete any subfolders under the rulesets folder of your FG data folder. (accessed via folder button on FG launch screen); and double check that you have no extensions of any kind enabled for your campaign.

Moon Wizard,
You're right. When I turn off all extentions -there is no red line in logs, but it don't help to get all missed stories and images.

I have no idea why your stories and images are missing; unless your database files were corrupted. As mentioned earlier in the thread, if you want to post the zipped up campaign folder (via DropBox or Google Drive); then we can take a look.
My guess is that somehow the save file got corrupted (due to file synching software or force quitting app mid-save). There's a wiki article on recovering previous versions of database as mentioned earlier in the thread:

All you can do is go back to an earlier save. Try going back to the ones dated 8th or 9th October. Make sure you back up the campaign folder before you do anything else.

Your campaign files look fine.
The only problem is that there's no moduledb folder inside the campaign folder and that is where all of the changes you made to the module are stored. I can't tell you why that folder is missing but it has been deleted at some point. Maybe if you search your recycle bin you might be able to recover it.

I forget to mention that I have reinstalled FG and campaign folder after this moved to another place. Before this it was in the same folder as FG unity. Now it in AppData folder - Roaming - Smiteworks.
I copy all information that was in campaign folder before to new place. But there wasn't any moduledb folder, only "modules" in root folder. My recycle bin is empty

I checked - other campaigns have this folders

I can't diagnose what has happened here. Having your data in the same folder as your installation could be the problem if read/write permissions weren't set properly. It's possible that you just didn't copy over the moduledb folder. Sorry, but without the files in that folder any changes you have made to the Avernus module in your campaign will be lost.
Changing the file location will also likely explain why other parts of the campaign were missing - things like portraits and tokens - since those will now be in a different place.

It's a horrible news and I really don't understand how could I delete this folder by myself without putting it to recycle bin. Thank you for your help

Whenever possible, please leave the FG data folders as the defaults, as you will sometimes create problems for yourself with permission issues in the operating system. FG automatically picks and installs to the standard operating system application and data folder locations, unless you override it.
App Folder = C:\Program Files\SmiteWorks\Fantasy Grounds\
Data Folder = C:\Users\<UserName>\SmiteWorks\Fantasy Grounds\
My guess is that you lost some data either through permission issues; or through copying around data and not copying all the files/folders.

It's funny but I didn't replace data folder by myself. I only chose new place for app folder during installation process. I found out that it must be a different place with data when reinstalled the application
