Hello FG community,

My past issue with sharing images & maps has returned - I can no longer do this in old or new games with my players (I'm DMing)

Trenloe was kind enough to help previously but joint testing did not see any errors from him...

It was resolved back in January by starting a new campaign which could be viewed, alas that no longer does nor any even more recently created ones.

Happy for any suggestions, has there been an update, is it affecting anyone else, etc...

Would you suggest the nuclear uninstall/reinstall option - which I'm tempted to do.

Thanks,

Halgabron

Might that I can't access the Settings in the launcher be linked... it just closes the app down?

Have you checked your security/anti-virus logs? Yes there was an update, and you may have to delete and re-whitelist the app, depending upon your security suite.
Can you attach your FG logs here?
Can you repeat with a new campaign with no extensions? Do you have any unpacked rulesets? i.e. folders in the ruleset directory.

Thanks for the support. To confirm;

Deleted & re-Whitelisted the App (I'm on a Mac)
Running on a new campaign, no extensions
Logs from earlier attached

Still no joy

The issue with the map/image sharing is almost always the fact that some security application or network setting or Internet provider setting is blocking files from being sent/received. Unfortunately, the logs rarely have anything in them that we can use to help, because the issue comes from outside the application and the OS/network doesn't provide feedback on whether traffic is being blocked.

We have a Network Troubleshooting wiki page that attempts to go through scenarios where this could occur.

Additionally, I've had at least one report recently where Comcast/Cox Advanced Security options were interfering, which might be something you want to check on your Internet provider account. (It's only managed online through account management on their site.)
