Spending a Benny on the running die

Is there a way to automate rerolling the running die with the use of a benny? I've tried dropping a benny on the Pace box and on the Run button, neither does anything.

Spending a Benny on a Running die is not part of the rules (RAW you are not allowed to spend Bennies on running die), so it is not automated at all.

The only way to automate it would be to write an extension.
