How do I build maps?

How do I build my own map? I can not find any information on how to do this. I did find one instructions but it talks about an asset window and I do not have an asset window.

Welcome to the boards. In FG Unity there should be an "Assets" button in the "Library" group of buttons on the right side of the FG desktop towards the top. When you click that button you should get the "asset window" I think you are talking about.

There are two basic ways to build maps in FGU: you can use assets pieces or you can import an image. You can also combine the process as well. If you do not see the Asset icon that Griogre talks about, check your version of FG on the launch screen. FG Classic, i.e. versions 3.x do not have a map making capability (only map image importing). FG Unity, versions 4.+ do.

Ok I am really confused. I am coming from Astral Tabletop which was easy. This is very confusing. I am trying to figure out how to get a grid up and then put the flooring and walls etc that I need for the map. THen use that map to create the scenario with monsters etc. I am not finding any videos for step by step for beginners.

What assets you have available to create maps will depend on what assets you have purchased. Some basic packages come with FGU. like Shockbolt and Torstan. Go to assets/images and search for those two names to see what assets there are available.
