AC effects not working

hello I made a effects button for adding +1 to AC for fighting style: Defence but it appears it dose not apply,
I all so know it don't show an your character sheet but the game should run it in the back ground so i did some roll test
defender has AC:17 + fighting style: Defence +1 so total: 18 so the attacker should roll a 19 or higher to hit but this pic says otherwise
so whats going on ??:confused:

Trying to predict Q's from others: can you show the effect itself on the combat tracker. Should be:

AC: 1

But backing up a step: if the AC is 18, and attack roll total is 18, that's a hit- you don't need to roll AC+1 to hit. CAVEAT: I'm assuming 5e as you didn't specify.
So if you rolled a 17 vs. the character sheet's AC 17, but the AC: 1 effect was active in the combat tracker, that should be a miss.

It's working correctly. You can see in the chat that it says DEF EFFECTS +1; showing that the effect is there. And as Bronzedodger pointed out above an 18 is a hit when your AC is 18. A hit is equal to or above your AC.
