View Full Version : Lobby: No connection

I am using Windows 10, and have uninstalled and re-installed Fantasy grounds numerous times. I have allowed the program through the firewall and windows security.

I cannot get anything to show up in the lobby nor can I connect to anything.

Please Help!

The lobby server is up and running; I just checked both on the server side as well as viewing the lobby from my personal installation.

If you are not getting a lobby connection, then something is blocking the connection to the FG lobby server.

Some things to try:
* Make sure that you don't have any VPNs on.
* Try deleting ALL fantasy grounds rules from windows firewall/defender; and let it ask again when you start application.
* Check to make sure that you don't have some other security or internet filtering software installed that might block web sites.

I deleted all the security rules as you suggested, and even restarted the computer, the program never requested for me to put the security back in, but I did manually and still had issues. I don't know of any other security I could have in place, VPN or otherwise.

Could be from your router / access point / gateway. Do you control your internet connection or is it shared like in a dorm or hotel?

I have full control, the router is not blocking anything that I know of, and it was working until today. We had a power surge, so I guess the router could have updated something, if there needs to be a port opened or such.

Have you tried resetting/restarting your router?

I have tried all of the recommended approaches that related to my router, and It still does not work. Does anyone know what I need to do? It was working a week ago and now it does not. I have not made any updates before that, and since I started having issues, I have allowed fantasy grounds through anti virus, firewalls, and folder access.

On the join campaign screen, click the "Refresh" button in the "Join Cloud Game" section a couple of times so that the logs will show connection attempts, then please collect the logs and post them in this thread as an attachment - details of doing that can be found here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1242136781/How+to+Compile+Logs

We are good now, had to get a new modem, apparently a power surge mucked it up.
