All, for some time I have been looking for an extension that when I remove a dead enemy from the combat tracker some kind of token would be left on a layer of the map reflecting the dead thing. Most awesome would be if it used the actual token of the dead thing with a skull over it or something, but still good would just be a skull of the appropriate size. If it could recognize more than one creature in a square and show some kind of pile that would be really cool. The reasoning for this is two fold.

1. To track areas of difficult terrain and where corpses lie after an encounter and the dead is cleared from the combat tracker.
2. I forget the second thing, sorry I got distracted with a phone call.

For what ruleset? It's best to post this kind of thing in the forum for the ruleset you are using so that you'll get a more concise answer.

There's a couple around for 5e. Like this one https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?59203-Death-Indicator-Ex-v4-5-extension-for-5e-Fantasy-Grounds-Unity

For 5e. The link you sent is more about indicators (which I have already) I need something that leaves an image on a map layer after dead npcs are taken out of the combat tracker.

We have such a talented group of devs that work on FGU, can we consider this a wonderful challenge for someone?
