5e MotM - Player module does not show images if DM doesn't own book

Created a fresh campaign on DMs system(s), no extensions, and as soon as I load the MotM - Players module the images appear for a split second and then disappear and give the red box/?.
Logs are saying that the DM is trying to send me an image that they don't have from the module I own. I don't have this issue with the other 5e modules the DM(s) don't own, just MotM.

I tried the reverse by hosting and the DM(s) both were able to see the images, so it appears to only be if the DM doesn't have the MotM module.

I am able to reproduce this but not just with MotM but with any players manual.

When I join a game where the DM does not own the module and go to the activation screen I can activate any of the module like MtoM, Volo, Mordenkainen etc. My understanding is that the DM should get a message asking if they approve the use of this module but that doesn't happen. The module just opens for me and the DM shows the module in their activation screen with a green tick. When I open any of the modules none of the images are visible just as Eru mentions.
