Hey there.

So I am new and therefore sorry if I need to post this in a specific place or in a specific way but with the wast amount of posts I didn't find a pinned one at the top with guidelines so here goes.

With help from among other places this page, I made all the encounters and NPC's and so on that I want to use for multiple sessions in one session and then exported it all as a module. That works some times but the maps in "Images" sometimes turn to giant red x's and I have to reimport and rewall the map all over again. Lately that thankfully hasn't happened much after I made sure not to move pictures around from folder to folder.

My current problem is of the same sort but different. I make my NPC's and export them in the module same as with the Images but last time I did it the NPC pictures disappeared from every campaign I import them into. (the 2 new ones I was working on load in fine) So now I have a bunch of NPC's that I have to manually drag all the pictures back onto every time I import the module to a new campaign. The pictures come with the game (A few are in the data folder but most are in the program itself under for example DND5E or FG Fantasy.)
Regardless of where they are or whether I have just used a monster with the monsters picture and changed the stat block the picture does not carry over, expect for the 2 newest ones i saved to the module. (before I saved those the module worked but I can't undo that save.)

In the original session the NPC portraits are still there so I tried just resaving it under a different name, and readding the portraits before exporting but they do not carry over.

I need help getting the images to stick to the NPC's again like they have before the latest update. It would be fine if I could just make a copy of the NPC and then use that as if it was a new one but do I really need to make all new ones from scratch?

Edit: tried making a new NPC from a bandit and change it's image on of the ones that didn't carry over to see if it was something to do with the NPC and the update not working together but the image did not get carried over there either so that is not it either. The frustrating part is that I can see them in the original module, and I can manually add them to the new campaigns and they seem to stay there but that is lot of work for something that should work without it...

Edit 2: Seems the bug does not happen when the NPC's are exported individually and then imported in the new campaign but I'd still like a fix that makes it possible to get the images over all at once.

If you are referring to tokens for the NPCs, those do not typically export into a module. Especially if you loaded the token from another module.

You need to place the token file itself into the campaign\tokens folder for it to export.

See the document attached here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?33538-Adventure-Module-Creation-Best-Practices) (Page 4 of the PDF) for more info.

NOTE: You should probably post these types of queries in the House of Healing (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?107-The-House-of-Healing-Unity), the Laboratory is for testing beta versions of the software.

As noted above if you want tokens to export along with your NPC then you must place the token in the campaign/tokens folder that you are creating the NPCs in, and you must use the token from that bag in Assets > Tokens > Campaign when you add the token to the NPC. This will only work if you have full access to the token which you won't have if the token is in another module.

So, if as I understand it, you are using tokens from those that come with FGU then those wont export and there won't be a link to the token in the NPC sheet. Therefore you will need to relink any tokens to exported NPCs when you open the module in another campaign.

To clarify. I successfully used tokens from the FGU to export in the way described up until the time I posted that message, meaning that even if it can't be done that way it was done that way and it worked.
But I am not exporting the NPC's separately to a folder and importing them into the campaigns which seems to do the trick.

Anyways thanks for the answers and for educating me on where to seek help in the future ^^
