Basic vs Advanced effects

Reading the ruleset documentation, I see two pages related to effects: Base and Advanced. Base provides clear explanation on the supported effects, not much examples but I presume this is something I will see when I obtain the ruleset.

What about the Advanced?

The Basic Effects page is the effects listings for the ruleset. Not sure about the Advanced section.
