Hello,
When I place a token on a map and set the visibility to always visible, initially the player can't see it. If they click on the square where the token is, they can see it.
Ruleset is 5E.
What I'm doing to see this:
Basic battle map (Battlemap01 from FG Battle Maps)
Open NPCs and selected a simple trap
Drag the token icon from the trap NPC to the map
Right click the trap on the map and set it to always invisible
Place character token on the map and share the map
Switch to player session
Click on the area where the trap is located and it appears
The only lighting I changed was to disable lighting
What I've realized I should do:
I created an encounter, and placed the trap within the encounter
I then placed the trap on the map from the encounter
Closed the encounter and the map cleared, as expected
Opened the encounter, and clicked the button to add the token to the map/combat tracker
By default the token is hidden and no amount of clicking on the player session will make it show.
