Hi,

My players have loaded modules but book stays closed and they are unable to access them. I have them all loaded and shared with the green check mark, I had a player send me a photo and the module is loaded because the unload word is showing but the book is closed next to it. Any ideas? Yes we all tried reloading, everyone has updated, and I still have access to all books.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure. The open/closed book only updates when the module is actually loaded/unloaded on the local player client. A player's initial load request will send out a request for the module to the GM's machine; which should respond with the files, which will then be opened once they are transferred over the network.

It sounds like perhaps something may be blocking the file transfer from the GM to the player machine on the network, probably on the GM side if it is happening for all players.

As a first step, you can try having one of the players delete the cache subfolder via the Folder button in the upper left of the FG launch screen, then connect to GM campaign and try again.

As a more investigative step, you can then have the GM and a player perform a quick campaign test, where the GM hosts, the player connects and attempts to load the module, and both the GM and the player immediately type /console then click Compile Logs. This will generate a set of files for both GM and player which shows which requests were made and which were responded to.

If the files are being blocked in transmission, then you'll need to look at the Network Troubleshooting guide for more steps to check into on your machine and router to see what might be blocking file transfers.
