Good Day to All,
My inquiry is regarding this site that I would like to use for either d20 Modern or later D & D since I will be traveling the road very often, this would be a good way for me to host games and keep all my work in a safe format. Although my feelings say that this site is mostly D & D driven, I would like to know whether or not someone has done d20 Modern here and find out the way it is in terms of opinion.
Thanks in advance to all that will contribute information in that regard,
Kindly yours,
MindBuzzer

Hi MindBuzzer,
I have only been using FGII for a couple of months now, but my primary motivation is to use it for d20 Modern games. Out of the box, I would say that FGII seems to be about 94% ready for d20 Modern games. Almost everything you need is already built in to the core program because the differences between 3.5 and d20 Modern are not huge. Another 1% is provided by CyJack's terrific d20 Modern interface skin for FGII. You can find it here:

The final 5% will be provided by one of FGII's sister companies, Digital Adventures. They are writing the d20 Modern ruleset for FGII, and we have heard assurances that they are very nearly finished with it. You can learn more about it, here:

In sum, my verdict is that FGII is the single most d20 Modern friendly virtual table top software package available. If you add to that the super-helpful and large user community, I can recommend FGII without much reservation. I've already bought into it, and I don't regret it. I confess that I am eagerly awaiting DA's ruleset, but DA has never failed to deliver on a promised product or promised more than they delivered, so I am sure that we will not have to wait much longer.
So my recommendation is to take the plunge, and spend the next month or two learning how to use the software. Join a few games as a player of whatever game world and system fits with your schedule, and have some fun. Then, you'll be ahead of the curve when DA releases their ruleset and you begin writing your own modules.

P.S. Beware of all the very persuasive Savage Worlds fans :bandit: around here. They just might make a dent in your loyalty to any d20 system! :D

Your response in regard to my message was greatly appreciated. The fact you have provided so much information is just so great. In the event most members of this site are like you, this is a sure sign that more will be joining soon including myself in that group.
