Hi, and thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. So my campaign seems to be completely screwed up and what few relevant threads I've found on the forums have not offered a solution as yet. Effectively my console is filled with the following errors:

Check to ensure you don't have any unzipped .pak files in your rulesets folder.

This looks like an anti virus or firewall blocking the content, permission issues, and potentially some potential cache or corrupted files. Did you have an extensions or such loaded?

close fg, rename that file and reload your campaign.

As eluded to by @damned, there's a file within each campaign directory called CampaignRegistry.lua there is an issue with this specific campaign loading/accessing that file.

Without a campaign loaded in FGU, go into your <FG app data>\campaigns\<your campaign name> directory - if there is a CampaignRegistry.lua there, delete it. If there isn't, copy a file from another campaign directory. Then load up your campaign - hopefully the errors won't appear this time.

So, technically worked I guess? The campaign loaded up just fine however I've lost all my player's characters and what not, need to reactivate all the relevant modules and reload all my custom content. None of these is particularly frustrating except for losing the PCs.

If you've lost campaign data, then there's a wider issue than just that one file.

Please post a screenshot, similar to the one you provided in Post #3 showing file details, for the campaign directory in question.

Only the D&D official font extensions and the Official D&D theme. I don't think it's a permissions or firewall issue since other campaigns work fine and I can join other games as well. A corrupted file sound plausible?

If you've lost campaign data, then there's a wider issue than just that one file.

Please post a screenshot, similar to the one you provided in Post #3 showing file details, for the campaign directory in question.

Looks like the issue occurred on April 2nd. We should be able to get you back to your data as of April 1st.


Close down Fantasy Grounds.
Take a backup of your campaign directory - just in case there's any further issues.
Show the files extensions in Windows file explorer. Here's some info for Windows 10 - see step 2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/common-file-name-extensions-in-windows-da4a4430-8e76-89c5-59f7-1cdbbc75cb01
Once the file extensions are enabled, delete db.xml from this campaign directory.
Make a copy of db.session.20220401.xml and then rename the copy to db.xml
Start up Fantasy Grounds and load your campaign.

It appears as if my PCs have lost their character tokens and portraits but otherwise this appears to have done it, thank you and everyone else who offered some help.

They will likely get them back when the players log in - otherwise you will have to add them back in manually.
