View Full Version : Targets Distance Miscalculation

Hello. I am using FGU without any extensions and I am having problems with the targets distance calculations on the battlemap.
I have set a map grid and add the tokens from CT to the map. When I use the Target Enemy Units with an Aarakroa, I have the distance to the character tokens miscalculated. But when I use the pointer tool to measure the distance, it seems to be right.52390
How can I fix this issue? Or what I am doing wrong here?

This is similar to what I posted here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?73383-Measurements-off-after-update and which was partially fixed.
It seems that when a token selects a target, the distance isn’t refreshed until the token is moved. Token A targets Token B, the range is correct; Token A then targets Token C, the range will show as the same. Target all enemy (or friendly) the range will display as the same to all of them.
Moving Token A, even just dragging it a bit and putting it back in the same space, will refresh the range displays—but that only works with a single target.

Sorry if I missed your previous post! It seems I have exactly the same issue, dogfisc. Thank you for your answer!

It is not fixed, we have game now and calculations are wrong and numbers invisible.

See post #3. I would not expect a fix before next week at the soonest. But SW often surprises me.

It was in the patch notes. https://fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?73381-FG-Unity-Release-v4-1-17&p=647279&viewfull=1#post647279

Ah! Didn't see the hot fix.
@Valyar, have you updated and verified with a new campaign? I'm sure Moon will want to know :)

It is updated yes. I will try tomorrow with brand new campaign and report, but for 2x existing with the 5e ruleset it is buggy. To see the distance the token or the pointer must be moved and I have seen wrong calcs tonight.

I just tried this myself in 5E on the latest live build of v4.1.17 and can confirm the issue.

The previous fix was more pointer distance labels (arrow, square, circle, cone) being blank and incorrectly placed when first drawn.
I just pushed a fix to address the distance values on targeting arrows.
