Campaign Setting
This is a West Marches style campaign set 150 years after the events of the 2nd Edition module Ruins of Adventure, inspired by the Pool of Radiance video game derived from the 5th Edition DDEX1 series of adventures. This is an episodic series of adventures on the north shore of the Moonsea with a focus on spying and political intrigue.
When:
Wednesday 04/27/2022 2100 ET/GMT-4. New episodes every 2 weeks.
Duration:
Each episode is approximately 1 hour
FG Version:
FGU Ultimate. No license needed by players. If you are new to FGU then the DM can drive your character sheet while you role play.
Type of Players:
This is a Drop In Campaign. It is a long running campaign but broken out episodically so it is friendly for "drop in one shot" players. We set it up this way with a core of 2-4 regulars with 1-4 drop in players to supplement the party strength. It's a great mix for those who want to play regularly or those who don't have a lot of time and can only drop in once every few months.
The types of players that will do well in this campaign are the Actor, the Explorer, the Storyteller, the Thinker, and the Watcher. The Power Gamer, Instagator, or the Slayer are not good matches with the rest of the players or for a political intrigue setting. This should feel like improv theater rather than a game.

Voice/Text/Video:
Voice and Text will be necessary. Weekly voice sessions will be live group session. In between adventures downtime will take place in a play by mail format (not real time). You can relax and wait for the next voice session or have your PC or loyal NPCs do simple side quests or tasks to increase your wealth and influence. Webcams are optional. Privacy and anonymity will be respected if you don’t want your true names or faces revealed.
Recording, Podcasting, Livestreaming:
DM reserves the right to record the audio session and video record the FG program to produce a text based recap.
