View Full Version : Bug: Token log movement not working in some situations

I ran into an issue where the token lock movement wouldn't execute when the GM approved the movement, and it left behind the arrow on the player view without the token moving. This happened when using a second local instance of FG as the player client.

To recreate in a new 5E campaign, no extensions:

GM: Load module Tomb of Annihilation
GM: Create PC, nothing on character sheet except for name and a portrait, drag to CT, give effect Spell - Light
GM: Open Map: Player Map - Gears of Hate and add PC token from CT to the map at position marked '1' in Setup.JPG (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=52280)
Player: Join GM game and take ownership of test character
GM: Share the map
GM: Select the token (black ring appears around token on GM view)
Player: Move token as indicated by '2' in Setup.JPG (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=52280)
GM: Approve the movement. The move approve button disappears, leaving the arrow behind and the token doesn't move: MoveApproved.JPG (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=52281)

Once in this bad state, weird things happen. If the player adjusts the movement path it re-appears (wrong) on the GM side, and if the GM re-adds the token to the map from the CT it leaves behind the old movement path. I'm not exactly sure what causes the bad state, but it seems to happen consistently with the initial token position in the screenshots.

NOTE: Lighting and Line-of-Sight were both enabled for the map. It doesn't seem to occur if Line-of-Sight is disabled.

This should be addressed in the hot fix released today for v4.1.17. Please let us know if you still see the issue.
