So i am trying to test FG to see what it has to offer me and my games. So far not thrilled with it. LOL that might be because i cant get it to work. It loads up says lobby connected. i can make my own games but i cant log into any games. I met this guy who offered to show me around. he set up a little test area so i could log in and see what all you can do. it wont connect name and PW are right. also when i land on the from page the buttons in the middle wont work. i can click them but they do nothing. i cant update the software i can go to the store to look at DLC. even the help guide and quick start wont load. whats am i doing wrong?

I uninstalled it from steam and just got the window native version still nothing.

Fantasy Grounds is an interface that allows you to play Dungeons and Dragons and similar games with people you have an arrangement with to play at a set time.

It is not something like Age of Empires where you just log on and hop onto a random game in a minute.

What game system are you looking to play? What have you played before?

lol i have played pretty much every game out there. in this case its DnD 5th ed. But thats not the issue i had a friend set up a ...um what do you call it a game, room, sever anyway he set it up and gave me login and PW so i could check out FG. But it goes further than that i cant even get anything to load like the store

I'm sure it's something simple, but its going to be hard to help without being able to see and walk you through. Jump on the Discord server and see if you can get someone to help. Once you share your screen it will be much easier to walk you through the process.

Have you entered your account details in settings? That is your forum username and password.

well one of the issues is when i hit enter for name and pw is says loggin in but never moves past that.

However i found a work around i just installed FG on my laptop and it works like a charm so theres that.

Now the question is "is FG greedy for system resources?"

That sounds like an anti-virus software issue although you may have the same setup on both machines so likely irrelevant. I'll let more knowledgeable people speak to that.


Now the question is "is FG greedy for system resources?"
You'll probably hear both yes and no to that. I run an average system and have since late 2008 when I picked up the older version (FG Classic). I run FG Unity now and to be honest, in a weekly game (averaging 1 game a week and 4 players), I have never had any usage issues. Anything I encountered was internet connection related.

Well Son of a B you hit the nail on the head. i turned off the virus program and it logged in no problems. WOOHOO that made my day

Good deal, glad you got it working. If you ever need to test anything hit me up, I usually have some free time here and there.
