I seem to have encountered a bug with how Darkness "lights" interact with Light "lights". Long story short, I quike like the interaction as it enables a behaviour I was looking for in a homebrew ruleset I was working on with a friend.
In short, currently darkness "lights" blocks Light "lights" like a wall or other LoS blocker, but can be glitched(?) to overlap and reduce the light by a step.
Here's an image to sort of explain what I'm talking about:
52161
The top has the Dark "Light" glitched in the way I like.
Bottom set has darkness working as intended(?).
To recreate this behaviour, on the Dark "light" set bright to 0 and dim to whatever.
Then, move the darklight into the Bright radius of any Light "light".
It feels like i get the best results when the Dark dim radius is about the same or smaller than the Light bright radius.
Note that if you try to move the Light "light", it's emmisions are sort of frozen until it leaves the Dark's radius.
I like this behavior because in the game I'm working on, torches that emmit darkness are relatively common, and more importantly, even "magical" darkness can be penetrated by a lantern (It's brightness is simply lowered by a step as seen above).
If this could be turned into a toggle, perhaps on the same button as darkness (so it would cycle between light, darkness (current), darkness (glitched)), that would be awesome.
I wasn't really sure if this counted as a bug report or feature request so I posted this here.
