Any chance the Smite works team is working on implementing additional effects in the future?

Sure. But SmiteWorks do not usually announce what they are working on unless they are close to releasing it (ie. usually in public beta). They do not and will not publish a feature roadmap. But, they do have the Wish List. And I know a request for new FX are on it. Search here for FX https://fgapp.idea.informer.com/

I hope they reconsider this position against some form of roadmap. Knowing what is coming even without committed dates is excellent way to promote the software with the increasing competition and build additional … hype is not the right word but you get it.
