FGU is crashing on my Mac almost every time I run it. I am only using it to connect as a player to test things for my game. It's not like I am even running the full game.
I have no clue if this is something going with my Mac or FGU Anyone have an idea what might be going on? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

OS Monterey 12.2.1

I am running FGU 4.1.16 on a Macbook Pro (2019), on Monterey 12.3. I've been using FGU daily without issue (running two instances (GM and player) on my Mac to test player connections during extension development).
Can you share any details of if there seems to be a certain action you perform that causes the crash? Also, sharing the crash report with Smiteworks would likely help them identify the cause more easily.
Cheers,
Brian

@bking83485 sorry you're having issues. Can you please provide more information - exactly when does FGU crash? Do you get any error messages/windows?
Can you run FG long enough to collect the log files and post them in this thread? Details on collecting the logs are provided in the Wiki here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1242136781/How+to+Compile+Logs

Thanks. I did upgrade to Monterey 12.3 after my original post, but haven’t had a chance to try FGU again. I’ll see if I can find some time in the next day or two. It crashed yesterday when I logged in as a player to my game see LOS. Just starting to use it for my game. I literally had only one character opened on one map and I moved the token once or twice and the whole system crashed, not just FGU. I rebooted and tried again, twice, and the same thing happened. I will say I have had the same thing happen on the Mac while using Zoom. Wondering if it’s something with the graphics card or memory maybe? I’m not very good with any of that, so it is just a hunch.

OK. Tried again, and my whole Mac crashed again. Here is what the Mac error report said:

I have the compiled logs in a ZIP file, but it doesn't seem to let me attach them here. Should I send them using the Customer Service wink in the WIKI?

Click the "Go Advanced" button to the bottom right of the reply pane and then you'll get extra options, including attachments, in the menu above the advanced reply pane.

Here are two sets of logs. One after each crash. Thanks!

From the logs, I didn't see anything in the application itself that was crashing (and thus being closed by OS and generate an error in the logs); but it sounds like it's crashing the whole Mac, which usually means that there is a bad graphics driver (or some other driver) on the machine which is causing the whole machine to fail (or possibly hardware failure when the bad hardware is accessed). Since I'm not hearing a general outbreak of Mac issues, this seems like it might be something specific to the machine.
You could try uninstalling, making sure app folder is gone, and reinstalling; just to make sure it's not some sort of bad file install.
Also, you could try on another Mac, if you have one.

Are you using your Mac with some kind of external monitor, or an external hub, or a docking station perhaps?

Thanks. I’m limited in my knowledge of those things, but my gut feeling is that it is a driver or hardware like you describe. The Mac works flawlessly with any task or app that doesn’t require tons of memory / graphics. I don’ play video games, but i suspect the same thing would happen. Probably going to have to take it in. :-/

No. Just using the MacBook itself. Funny thing is that I just ordered a second monitor so I could have a nice display for both my MacBook and PC.
