I'm not sure this is the right place for this but I'm looking for a official answer as it is related to copyrighted content.
First I would like to say that I first contacted WOTC and they confirmed it would be okay to do so under their Fan Content Policy as long as the translation are not sold as official content And that it's should be available only for the person that have paid for the original content on the FG store.

Now that's out of the way my question would be :
If I want to translate the DMG, PHB etc...
How can I make it available for the community but making sure that only the people who purchased it are able to download/access it?
Is it possible to do so as extension /module?
Or should I send the translated content to SmiteWorks so you can put it as a free bonus content in the shop for the people who purchased the original books?

Again this is just me trying to see if it doable under the rules and copyright laws before taking over this colossal task but I think it would be a great way to reach more people and growing this awesome community.

'Available only to the person who paid for the original content' means you - and only you. You can't distribute it in any way.

I should have been more clear about the exchange I had with them.
In my original request to them I stated that the translation would be for the FGU community, and that if they gave me the greenlight on their side I would then approach SmiteWorks in order to see how we could be sure that the translation would be distributed to the person that actually purchased the contents.
But I know it's difficult to do so and this is why I posted this message.

I can forward you the email exchange I had with them if it can help in any way.

I think instead it would be best to speak directly with the powers that be and find out what can and can't be done. It would be best to email [email protected] for your questions and start the conversation about what you are attempting to accomplish.

Thanks, indeed it might be a better idea and would keep it "private" until a ruling has been made by
the powers that be

I hope I did not seem rude or anything... It's always difficult to convey a tone when using written messages.
