Mongoose just announced Shield Maidens Kickstarter on April1

While this project per se is not actual Traveller, it looks fantastic..as Shield Maidens do high-tech battle in Freya's service..

Also, even if you don't use the Shield Maiden setting and rules itself, the posted images on Mongoose's websites
indicate that this project will provide a whole lot of useful imagery and info ... for your really really badass female Sword World
Travellers.

Yeah, I know that according to Traveller canon, that Sword Society is sexist, and females in the Sword Worlds tend to
be ladylike and demure.. according to custom. Still, I think that Shield Maidens and all the associated Nordic/Mythology
is so embedded in Sword World culture, those young girls are regaled with shield maiden stories and the like on their mother's lap.

So don't be that surprised when things start really going down the toilet, that the demure Sword World female starship steward, all of
sudden has her inner Lady Sif raging to get out and do mayhem...
