View Full Version : Are there Command line Arguments for FGU?

I could not find any in the manuals and when I launch FGU with /h or /help nothing happens besides FGU launches. Normally this command would list the available arguments for an application.

For example: is there a way to point to the data directory on startup? Is there a way to load a campaign on startup? I am going to DM a few campaigns and I would like to keep the campaigns clean and separate. I want to have a clean set of extensions and modules pre-selected for each campaign. I would also like to have the campaign load immediately when I launch FGU.

Ideally, I would like to have a script on my machine that automatically launches FGU and configures it before I even sit down to start my campaign. I can only think to be able to configure that set up if FGU accepted command line argument.

No. There are no supported command lines.

FGC had a -p for defining the port used. I've never heard it mentioned for FGU. Their is a unsupported -c which will update and launch FGU, but that's the only one I know of.

Searching the forum gave me this thread; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?65838-FantasyGroundsUpdater-Command-Line-Arguments

Note, no need to worry about which extensions or modules load with each campaign, the campaign remembers that. It is stored in a campaign files called extensionstate.xml & modulestate.xml (If I remember the names correctly). So, the only thing you can't do is to have a campaign loaded automatically.

Thanks, that is what I thought, but I wanted to see if I was missing something. It would be nice to have at least to load and start the campaign automatically.
