Roleplay & Combat mix: May vary but I like to run my games at a 60/40 rp vs combat split
Number of Players in game & needed: Current party of 3. Would like to add 1 or 2 more.
Character starting level & equipment: Party is currently 5th level and has accumulated some magic items. Recruited players will start at the same level and with a similar array of equipment.
Character restrictions: I tend to allow nearly everything from the source books (no homebrew races/classes) but personally prefer the more classic fantasy tropes.
Current party composition: Artificer, Wizard and Barbarian/Sorcerer
Details of the scenario: The party has recently completed a heavily homebrewed LMoP while at the same time explored story hooks arising from their character backgrounds. After being hired by an NPC to escort them to the town of Red Larch they detoured to Waterdeep to sell their hard-fought loot and spend some of the resulting coin, research some lore and battle a Stone Golem. The last session left them mourning the loss of their NPC employer-turned friend after they were killed in an ambush by strange fanatical cultists.
What lies ahead will be my take on Princes of the Apocalypse, somewhat truncated to allow for the story that has grown as a result of my player's well conceived backstories. The campaign obviously takes place in the Forgotten Realms, with an emphasis on the Sword Coast region specifically.
We are looking for players who wish to create characters that want to participate in high adventure, and cooperate with the group. No murder hobos please. We are looking for mature players who understand the rules (and can occasionally remind me of them). Average age in the group is 40ish. In regards to character creation I prefer unoptimised but interesting to min/maxing but who am I to police your fun? I ask that character's are created given the context of the current party composition and have creative backgrounds that allow for me as the DM to integrate you into the world and gives me hooks to further commit your character to the story and help to shape it.
We would prefer to recruit someone similar in age to the rest of group. We're all married with families and IRL responsibilities and this is our chance to bathe in the soothing waters of nerd-dom. However if you think you can kick it with some elder millenials and gen-Xers then please by all means reply here or DM me at your earliest convenience. Game is run at a pretty consistent PG-13 rating.
