FGU doesn't handle large+ creatures on a hex grid at all like the DMG describes on page 249. The biggest problem is that the creature is centered on a hex, rather than on the point that 3 hexes meet. Yes, I can toggle off grid snap and carefully drag the creature's token into just the right spot every time I want to move a big creature, but that adds extra steps to every turn in combat for large creatures. The square grid snaps to the center, 4 corners, and 4 sides of each square, but the hex grid only snaps to the center and creature footprint on the map is always circular.
