Open Ended Games will be selling the Core book (574 pages) This week on the forge. It is fully compatible with this ruleset.

Please post any feedback and bugs here. I included a very small quick start guide to help you navigate this ruleset.

Loving the ruleset, but I'm having an issue. The box where you write you Allegiances, etc. is super duper tiny. It also uses that darkmaster font (sorry not a fan of that font), when the other text boxes on the character sheet do not.

Yeah good feedback. I'll update that font. I made a font extension , I'll include in next build.

To keep the box there I would scrap the logo. I'll add it as a decal for next update. What are your thoughts?

Also your saves update as soon as you make level 1.


Edit: New build is up along with VsD font extension for those that find that font hard to read.

I've been waiting on this ruleset for over a year, and I'm definitely not disappointed. I can't wait to use it.

As for the logo, I took a look at some other FGU rulesets and many don't seem to add one the character sheet. It's a nice touch, but it's still taking up valuable real estate. I dunno.

Alright I did some pixel shaving. Its easier to tell which line goes with allegiances etc. This lets you get two wounds in there still and not have to scroll. Ill push it later this weekend.

Updated build on test:

Armor skill was not offsetting move penalty- Fixed
Spell casting was not properly accounting for move penalty- fixed

I will flip this to live when the CORE RPG update hits.

I've noticed a couple of typos. On the front area, Medium Range is spelled "Medium Rang". Also, in the Marauding culture section, some words have way too many ffffffs. I just gave some things a once over, so there may be more typos.

Second...ok...i have got the file on the forge and it says owned and...what tha heck i'm supposed to do now?? how do i get the file?? Sorry i´m very old school and since the Devs crushed the classic version and the ppl that real supported them since the begining and only cares about money...i just moved away...can anyone explain me how do i use the files?

You need FGU and you just run an update.

And as for your second comment, I don't think providing backwards compatibility with all purchased DLC and most community developments and paying a reduced rate for an upgrade to a new platform is caring only about money and not about everyone who supported them over the years. Every software platform has to undergo a redevelopment every now and again, and FG had to move from its 15 year old platform to allow future development - a new platform, backwards compatible, no need to re-buy DLC, with approx. 4 years of development. SmiteWorks can't be expected to keep supporting the older platform, nor can they be expected to give away an upgrade to a new platform with 4 years development. You obviously think differently, but I don't think the way SmiteWorks went about the move to the new platform is as bad as you say.

Ok step 1. Subscribe the the VsD ruleset.

Step 2. using FGU update your system

Step 3. create a new campaign selecting the VsD ruleset. Optionally you may load a theme and a font package included with the ruleset file. The white font turns the letters white and makes them more readable. the normal font package leaves them black and just uses a font that some find easier to read.

once inside I made a Quick Start guide you can load as a module to give you some basics.

I HIGHLY encourage you to buy the core rulebook. I converted 574 pages of information, data, and records.
