Mounted combat

Per the rules in Pathfinder Savage Worlds:

Horsemanship: Characters who wish to fight from horseback must use the lowest of their Fighting or Riding skills. This also applies to other more extraordinary mounts.

So, what are people doing for that? Creating a custom sword, etc attack that uses riding instead of fighting? I don’t see anything in the system to designate that the character is mounted. Unless it’s an effect.

Just create a secondary attack for that sword weapon which uses the Riding Skill instead of Fighting.
