I would like to use something online to help with DM'g and as a stopgap for needing remote gaming.

I already bought paper (pdf) content for WaterDeep and am considering the Waterdeep modules for FG.

Anyone got feedback on their experience:
1. Installing
2. Content quality
3. DM usability

The official WotC Waterdeep Dragon Heist module I assume? I'm curious because you say you bought the pdf, but WotC doesn't produce or sell PDFs so perhaps you are referring to something else?

If you are talking about the WDDH module from Wotc, then yes it is easy to load. Purchase from the FG store, Update FG, Load Campaign, Load Module, Use.

Quality is good. It contains everything the hard copy includes. It also has all the NPCs linked as NPCs and are useable as fully functional NPCs for combat etc.I'm not personally a big fan of the mapping style used in WDDH, but FG has all the same PLUS it includes some community created alternate maps (if I remember right).

FG modules are very easy to use. They are all ready and set with as much automation as FG supports. Items are in parcels for easy addition to the party sheet. Encounters are created with NPCs and the NPCs placed on maps if provided. There is very little to any required preparation to run (really, just read ahead and make sure you know where the prepared resources are).

As for WDDH itself, there is a lot of content in te adventure, musc of it doesn't get used if you use the module as written. Personally I suggest if you don't mind mixing things up and doing some additional preparation work that you look into the Alexandrian Remix. For me, it was the way I chose to run the adventure for my players.
