Hi there.

Hoping (desperately) that someone can help me. We had a power outage whilst FGU was working - now when I try to get back into the campaign that was live at the time, I get the following message:-

Error: Owned Campaign List XML: Error Loading XML File

(I have added an attachment - no idea if it is visible?)

I have given it about 30 mins, in case there is some sort of cloud based currency issue. However, 30 mins later, we are still having issues.

Anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Paul

Yes, you can restore your campaign to a previous save. Details on how to do that here https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1207304196/Restore+Campaign+to+an+Earlier+Save

Thank you - i used those instructions. In this case, it was not a db.xml issue, but the underlying campaign.xml. As suggested, I copied across one from a different campaign, and got it to start working! Mind you... it all looks... different. Some work to do, but a LOT better than I thought I was in.

Many many thanks

The campaign.xml file specifies what ruleset to load for the campaign. If you copied a file from a campaign with a different ruleset then you'll be loading a different ruleset - this will look, and operate, differently. Make sure the campaign.xml file is for the correct ruleset.

Thanks all - luckily, all my campaigns are the same rule set (though thanks for this - I had not thought of that before I did the copy, so something to note for the future should I need to). As such, it was some of the look and feel settings (the background image, some of the default settings etc. ) that needed to be amended and then all good!

Thanks again!

Paul

Also note that this is the reason we all say BACKUP your campaign. :)
