Creature Codex - Kobold Press - Reference Manual

I have the Creature Codex from Kobold Press. When I open the Reference Manual, there are no pages with monster pictures and descriptions, like the WOTC Monster Manual has. Is this expected (copyright issue?) or should those pages be there?

This is a (relatively) new feature in the 5E MM. It never used to have this in the reference manual. At least from what I recall.
Typically monster manuals are primarily NPCs and Tables and limited text.
