FGC to FGU

If you bought FGC at full price of $149.00, and you want to upgrade to FGU, and the price for FGU is $149.00, then why are you required to Spend another $73.00 to get the upgrade to FGU, can some one help with this question,,,,please.

Welcome to the FG forums.

You're upgrading to a new platform that has had many, many thousands of hours of new development. You can keep using FGC if you want - although support on that is now limited. Like many software companies, SmiteWorks offer a reduced cost to upgrade from a previous version to a new version. Less than 50% of the new cost of FGU based off the prices you list is, IMO, a reasonable upgrade cost.

FGC and FGU are different programs, therefore you have to buy FGU or an upgrade to it when you want FGU. Basically, you get 50% off of FGU if you were a FGC customer.

If you need examples of this, Look at Microsoft Office. Each time they come out with a new version (2021, 2019, 2016, 2013...) you have to buy it if you want it. You don't get it for free. Without the ability for a software development company to sell new versions, they would be unable to pay their developers a competitive wage.

Nope, all legacy DLC is compatible with FGU.
