I am trying to open Fantasy Grounds Unity and the application crash right when I click the executable, I don't even have time to see an error message, I see the starting logo trying to open and it looks like there is a red triangle with a white exclamation point but is too fast, the app close and I am panicking 'couse what the hell is going on? I work with FGU every day, it was working fine yesterday, its updated as well. I am scared to reinstall and loose all my data.

Not sure what is going on, but regarding reinstall: The data is kept at a separate data directory, you can make a copy of it to be on the safe side :) (and even if you uninstall it, the data does not necessarily get touched, but then I would be also careful)

yeah I dont want to reinstall, it will mess with all my shortcuts, I work as paid DM and I have several tables going on right now, this is absolutely horrifying. Also today happens to be the first session for a new campaign with new players, so the timing is terrible.

If you backup your campaigns folder (or the entire data folder) a reinstall will not affect any of your campaigns or other data. Also backing it up is just a good idea anyway.

Ok so I just need to understand:
1 - What is going on? Why this is happening?
2 - Once the problem is identified, what do we need to do to fix it? Do I really need to reinstall FGU? If yes, how can I do this?

How do you start FGU? Using the launcher or the updater? Try to switch the method; if you can start the updater instead, then there are some options to handle errors :) (there are separate exe files for the updater and the launcher)

yes I did this already, I restart my computer several times trying different approaches, first I tried the shortcut, then I tried open from the .exe file. Then I tried open through Steam, and every time the same error

I also tryed the updater, and it works by the way, it updates, thats why I said that its updated, but when I click to launch it crashes the same way

Anyway is this just me then, its not a global thing? Are you been able to open your Fantasy Grounds? Is there anyone experiencing this problem? Because if is just me it might be better to reinstall, so how can I do that? I mean, should I simply delete the program and try to install again through steam? Is there a better way to do that, is there a uninstall button or something?

I do not have this problem, but if you can open the updater, then check the settings for your data directory :) (there are all your things stored)
Make a copy of your data in that data directory (you will see a /campaigns directory there, then you know that you are at the right place)
Then open the updater, open the settings and go to troubleshoot. See if one of these options help you, maybe also compile logs from there which you can attach here
Then try to reinstall manually :) Since you made a copy of your data, nothing bad can happen with your data :) Later, after the install, you can simply copy your data in the new data directory :)

What operating system are you using? If Windows, look for an application error message in the Windows Application Event Viewer - to access this carry out the first three steps detailed here: https://support.ipconfigure.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004833803-Windows-Event-Viewer-Application-Logs
Then look for an error message for FantasyGrounds or Unity with the Date and Time of when you try to run FGU. If there is any at that time, right- click on the row and select Copy -> Copy Details as Text and then paste the results here.

Ok thanks for all the help, I have no idea what happened, probably some data was corrupted I don't know, so I reinstalled everything and restore my Data folder and looks to be all god for now. Thanks for the support
