I am guessing this is probably a Discord thing. I know you can play music in a Discord voice channel (haven't tried it yet) but I like the feature of roll20.net where you can upload mp3 files and they also have some stock music you can play. Anything like possible in FGU/Discord? Thanks!

No, FG does not support playlists, or play music. As you mentioned, Discord and other solutions work better. Syrinscape offers a lot of gaming music/sound content.

You can take a look at this extensions https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?53583-AudioOverseer-(Audio-Management-Extension)

I'm going to assume you can play music on Discord but I couldn't tell you how I'm afraid.

I have not used it but for adding a soundtrack to the game or something of that nature this discord bot was recommended awhile back.

I use discord with audio pipe to pump sound to my players. Right now I use battlebards (think cheaper syrinscape) and YouTube. Sounds very good not hard to do. I’m very much into background music a lot to set the mood, but I use battle and spell sounds at that times as well.
