View Full Version : Prevent Walls from blocking token movement ?

So I'm doing the LOS on Tyrant's Grasp 2 - Eulogy for Rosslar's coffer & I've hit a problem. I'm doing the Bastion of light. The map has loads of doors that are smaller than 5' wide & not aligned with the grid. This means that a token can't move through the doors, even when open.
Is there a way to have walls do line of sight but not block token movement ? I trust my players to not move through walls when they shouldn't.
The only other alternative is to make all the doors 5' wide & aligned with the grid even if that contradicts the map.
Finally, is thee any kind of shortcut/key command that will let me/ a player move a token through a wall ?

Moderator: Moved thread from the Pathfinder 2.0 forum to The Tavern forum - all of these questions are generic to FGU and so you'll engage a wider audience in this forum.

Hold SHIFT whilst you move a token to move through walls (only as DM).

You'll just need to make the doors big enough for the token to fit through. Any other method will cause other issues.

Thanks @Trenloe for moving the thread. Thanks @ Zacchaeus - the shift shortcut might work fine in fact, I don't mind moving players or monsters past walls into a new room. But I will also consider widening the doors.

I would just make the doors wider than drawn on the map. But you could use a small/map-size door and then place illusionary walls on each side to make it wide enough for tokens to move through. They allow players to move through, but not see through.
