The Main tab of the character sheet contains the Background, Drive, and Skill sections.

The Archetype/Role allows an Archetype record to be added as a linked record. Likewise for Faction/Concept and Faction records.

To roll a Skill:

First double click the Drive and Skill to add them to the modifier box. This sets the target number for the roll.
To roll, drag and drop the dice to the chat window.

Two d20 dice will appear by default, right-click while holding the left mouse button and dragging to add further dice from momentum spends.


The base successes will be calculated. Where focuses are applicable, count the additional successes manually after the roll.


Momentum and Threat are under the chat window. Double-click to add to the pools and drag a token off the pool to the chat window to spend.

The Abilities tab shows Traits, Talents, and Assets.
Talent records can be dragged from the library to the character sheet.
Items and Vehicles can be dragged to Assets on the character sheet.

Advancement shows current and total advancement boxes for recording advancement points.
Determination shows checkboxes for recording determination points.

Conflict shows a defeat threshold (labelled resistance) for recording the extended test threshold (skill value) where the character becomes defeated for a conflict. This is an extra item on the sheet for Fantasy Grounds to keep track of when a character is defeated on the combat tracker.
For example: if Kara is using Battle, set the resistance value to 6 for the conflict. When an enemy attacks, they win the initial skirmish contest and score 2 points against the extended task requirement to defeat Kara. They use a quality 1 weapon, so this adds a further point. The GM also spends 2 Threat to increase the quality of the weapon by a further +1 for the round. Four resistance checkboxes are unticked on Kara's character sheet and the resistance total on the combat tracker is reduced from 6 to 2. One more hit and Kara will be defeated.

The Main tab for the NPC sheet shows the Drives and Skills. Like with the character sheet, double-click a Drive and Skill to set the target number then drag from the Skill to roll the dice.
The Abilities tab shows the Traits, Talents, and Assets for the NPC.

As noted in the description for the character sheet above, the combat tracker includes an additional field for the extended task defeat threshold for Player characters, Major NPCs, and Notable NPCs.

Items - additional attributes added to the Item form for assets
Vehicles - additional attributes added to the Vehicle form for vehicle assets

Factions - record added for adding faction information to the character sheet
Archetypes - record added for adding archetype description to the character sheet
Talents - records added for adding talent descriptions to the character sheet

Now we need a community graphics designer to make a 1980s Sting-as-Harkonnen skin for this ruleset. :)

Wow, great work @Valarian ! Thanks very much for sharing this ruleset!
Do you have plans to keep expanding it, or is your aim to offer basic functionality only?
Regardless, I am very thankful. Have been looking for a way to keep using FG for my games.

It's got a lot of functionality in there already, including library sidebar entries. I'm open to suggestions of improvements. Not sure when I'll have time or energy to look at changes, so be patient.
