Did something change somewhere along the lines as ammo is not automatically being removed when my PC's use their bows.

It looks like the code is still in the 5E ruleset. Can you try after disabling any extensions you might have loaded, and checking for a 5E folder in the FG data folder under rulesets?

I can confirm this is working.

One other possibility is that you've dragged the ranged attack to the quick bar and are using it from there. If so this won't decrement ammo automatically if used in this way.

I went in and tested it right now and this is what the player was doing.
