Is there any estimation of when the Lost Omens: The Grand Bazaar will be available for Fantasy Grounds?

There's a sticky at the top of the thread with status. There are older books not implemented yet just FYI, but since this is not a core change I would assume faster.

I checked the sticky first before posting this, I did not see Grand Bazaar in it. It's a relatively recent release and I know there is some lead time as it is community members that actually develop the modules before Smiteworks publishes them. Just was looking to see if it was on the radar and an idea of when.

Ah I didn't notice that. It looks like they are more focused on adventure/AP/etc... releases instead of setting/rules releases. Maybe someone from Smiteworks can comment. I'm always confused by the "community members develop modules" comment. Doesn't Smiteworks make them? Isn't that why we are paying them?

I won't comment on the Smiteworks comment about explaining their development other than to say that they do have full time staff that work more on the rulesets and backend functionality themselves. They also utilize independent contractors like myself who are also community members.

As far as the Adventure AP vs. Core Rulebook issue, it's not that we are focused on the APs more, it's two things:

1. There are different resources working on them. I work on the adventure APs. Other developers work on the core rulebook
2. More importantly, please realize that that the core rulebooks often require drastic changes to the Pathfinder 2 Ruleset due to the fact that automations need to be programmed into the ruleset to implement changes brought on by those books. The adventure APs don't usually need specific automation built so they can often be quicker.

Hope this helps,
Danny

I suppose the issue might/can arise where some of the later APs start to rely on the new rule books and the ruleset then lags behind. Not an easy think to resolve.

It’s interesting that fgu seems to be one of the only ones lagging behind

True. Pathfinder provides a lot more options than other systems but it also makes for a lot more work to keep up with the moving target they provide by the constant rules and content additions.

Because there's a lot more functionality and automation in FGU, so it's not just a case of dumping text into a module. There's no conspiracy, lack of priority or anything else. I've already replied to you in another thread as to the main reasons and to also point out that we've released more PF2 products on FGU in the last three months than any other RPG system on FGU. We now have over 60 official PF2 products available on FGU and that number grows pretty much every week.

Sorry didn't mean to imply there was a conspiracy. I guess the big difference is that FGU supports adventures/APs/Scenarios/Bounties/etc, and others only focus on the rules/settings. Anyhow, can anyone comment on OPs original inquiry?

There's no current ETA when the conversion will be complete. The product conversion sticky thread will be updated when this is being worked on and as its status changes.

I wouldn't go with 'interesting', I'd go with 'obvious' -- FGU does a lot more automation than any other VTT I've seen. A _ton_ more. Of course it takes longer to do stuff -- they do it _right_!

I was just thinking this when the PF2 project manager of one of those other VTTs was commenting on reddit about how handling immunities, weaknesses and resistances was too hard to do...
