View Full Version : Consequences of Deleting Contents of a Campaign Cache Folder?

I'm having problems with one of the campaigns that I join, namely that I sometimes get extreme lag and shared map images don't display for me. Since other players in the campaign either aren't experiencing the same problem or to a lesser degree, and since and I don't have problems with other campaigns I join to, I've had the thought that it might be a client-side issue. That's got me thinking that I might want to delete the contents of the particular \cache folder for that campaign.
As I've never done this before, I'm wondering if there might be any consequences?

The consequences are that you’ll have to download all of the data from the GM the next time you connect - so it’ll take longer to get fully connected and setup. Plus, any setting you had previously (hot keys, player specific campaign options, open window positions, etc.. won’t be there and will be defaults.
If you think there may be an issue with your cache it’s worth deleting it just for the campaign in question and then joining your GMs game.

OK cool, thanks for the reply. I did make a backup of that campaign's cache folder just in case. Other than my choice to enable all sidebar buttons and load about 4 modules, I have next to no custom settings for that campaign - cache folder contents deleted.

It is what the Nuke button did - it just used to do it for all campaigns in one go.

After deleting cache just log in 5 minutes earlier than normal for your next session.
