How di I add an effect

I am trying to add an effect that gives the character an attack and a damage bonus when attacking undead. I have tried IFT: undead; ATK: +3 for the attack and that does not work. Any suggestions?

You need IFT: TYPE(undead);ATK 3

Zacc is mostly correct but you also should make sure the effect option on the weapon is set to "action only" so the effect only works when that weapon is used.

(he's wanting this for 2E)
