Double vision when shortcut properties say to run maximized

So on a whim today I decided to change the properties of the shortcut I use to run FG from 'Normal Window' to 'Maximized' and got a very strange result. I ended up with two offset visions of the FG launch window, one of which goes away as soon as I mouse over the minimize, maximize, or close buttons, or Alt-Tab away to another app. See screenshots.

Totally not a big deal since the workaround is so easy, but I thought you might like to know nonetheless.

darrenan I use the program Borderless Gaming to run the FGU in Full Screen

Using maximized via shortcut for months without said double-vision. So it likely also depends on GPU drivers or something (Nvidia here).
