Hi i only purchased FGII last night

my question is, what other purchasable things will work with FGII?

I have seen andventures, tokens, modules etc. out there but im suspecting that these are mostly for FG1. So what is safe to purchase for FGII.

The reason that im asking is that I read another thread that said that a tutorial that was posted was of little use to FGII people.

There's documentation available online in the library (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/library/)

There are a few variant character sheets floating around for rules other than Fantasy d20.

A lot of the modules are around from the FG1 days, not too much has been published yet for FG2. There's some stuff in the pipeline from several people.

Tokens will work for both FG1 and FG2. They're just graphics files. Or, make your own. There's a program called TokenTool around that'll allow you to make tokens from other graphics.

A quick tip: it's an idea to put at least your time zone in the location part of your profile. That way, people can see where you are for arranging games.

Try to steer clear of modules and rulesets, unless either:

- They explicitly state they work with FGII; or
- They include a free upgrade, there is a firm date for FGII publication, and you can wait that long.

Graphics (tokens and maps etc) will be fine, but any complex stuff (modules, rulesets, char sheets etc) are not portable from FG to FGII.

There is a separate thread (in the Workshop Forum, here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6645)) on community-generated rulesets for FG and FGII.

Cheers
