I am getting my old gaming guild back together again and we have been playing frequently lately (5E). We would have started with AD&D if it was available in 2015 when we first started playing on Fantasy Grounds but since I had all the stuff geared to 5E on the VTT that is what we are using. Last night at the end of the play session we started talking about games that we miss playing and every one was asking about the possibility of some of these games being added as rule sets to Fantasy Grounds. We are all older men now lol and live quite a distance form one another and, though it is possible on the rare occasion, we are not able to be physically present to play the games that we used to play while together. I own all the games and was usually the guy who ran most the adventures (and still do) but that does not help us play any of the old games that we would still play if they were on Fantasy Grounds. The three games that were heavily discussed were TSR Top Secret (no the SI version we didn't like it), the old Marvel Superheroes RPG that came out in the 1980's, and Star Frontiers. We used to play those games so much when not playing AD&D. Other old games that we played were Gang Busters, Gamma World, Twilight 2000, and Boot Hill. Another game that we played a lot was Battletech/Mechwarrior. We were discussing how easily it seems that it could translate to Fantasy Grounds using token mechs. I know the first three games and battletech would be a huge it with my guys. I'm not sure how that all works on your end but given that you have a deal to do DnD products with Wizards we wonder if it would be possible to do the aforementioned games save for battletech since those games were old TSR properties. I just wanted to put this out there and ask the question would it be possible to see these games in the Fantasy Grounds catalogue some day?

I'm one of those crazy people who believes if you can play it with a map and paper and pencil, you can play it with FG. CoreRPG, by itself, is very capable at tracking stats and abilities just as you would on a piece of notebook paper (creating your own character sheet was half the fun back in the D&D red/blue box days). The rulesets are nice for automation and all, but none of it's actually necessary to play a game if you really want to.

A couple of weeks ago we just finished playing something like a four year long campaign of Star Frontier on FG. See here for the first couple of years of campaign logs; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?38028-Terrorists-Aliens-Megacorps-Politicians-A-New-Campaign-Of-An-Old-Classic
And here for videos of many of the sessions. I don't remember if we started recording at session one (would have been the sathar agents in Prenglar from the back of the book, followed by the Volturnus series); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOBEfqgga4c&list=PLXaP4OoFR0gEbx7a9clBESxp8_HgPVYjP

You can see how we did this pretty much just using CoreRPG. It would have been nice if we had gotten around to creating all the items and such, but the GM had a secure website we had all the rules and items we just used. We could have setup a more functional character sheet using the community MoreCore ruleset, but you can see we really didn't need to.

You can pretty much do the same things with any of the other games you mention. Though maybe BattleTech might be a bit more challenging, mainly because FG assumes their is one GM and everyone else is players, and BT kind of assumes everyone is equal. But, if you trust each other, shouldn't be a problem.

There is a Top Secret extension (and module I think?) for MoreCore
It handles pretty much all the rules from what I can recall.

Thanks for the comments and information I’m going to explore core and morecore. I say your videos on the top secret rules and I’m going to give it a try. I told my players about it and Star Frontiers and they were very happy.
