Changing a Thread's Title

I started a thread and made a big mistake with the title. I used the edit feature, but even though I changed the title, the old title is still showing up as the thread's title in the thread list. Is there a way to fix this? If not, is there a way to delete the thread?

No and No, I think. I know that users can not change the title of the thread (only the title of the post), nor can they delete a thread. Moderators might be able to change the title of a thread, but I believe only before there are any replies to it.

Moderators can change the title of a thread at any time. Put a post in the particular thread requesting a title change.
