The Secrets of Magic book is adding a bunch of stuff that it seems like it would be difficult to support with the current PF2 ruleset, like the shared health pool for Summoners/Eidolons, Magus and Summoner spell slot progression, Flexible Preparation, and the concept of Class Archetypes. Is the plan to release this book with current ruleset, or will we see a ruleset update first with support for these features?

Flexible casting can be handled by changing the icon for the spell class from a book to a star to work like spontaneous casters by clicking, you just only add learned spells and not all of them.
Magus and Summoner spell slots can be handled easily in the same location, there's blocks for how many spell slots you have of each level there.
Class archetypes are just feats with certain traits, also supported. Would just need new spell lists to choose from to handle.
The only problem would be the shared health pool, and you can manually work around that for now by either dropping the same damage from chat onto both, or only applying the damage to the summoner since the eidolon goes away when the summoner goes down.

Class Archetypes are more akin to a subclass than a feat, given that they swap out class features at level before you actually take the Dedication feat at level 2.

"It might be possible to take a class archetype at 1st level if it alters or replaces some of the class’s initial class features. The 1st-level ability is presented much like a class feature and includes the class archetype’s prerequisites and rules on how it changes your class. If you select this ability, you must take that archetype’s dedication feat at 2nd level, and you proceed normally afterward"

True, but Wellspring and Flexible's adjustment to spell slots seem to be the only major adjustments for now other than the spell list changes, I'm not seeing any that remove or replace a standard class feature yet. I'm sure later books will do much more, but for now the changes are minor enough they shouldn't force a larger delay for FG support to allow a new system to be made.
