View Full Version : PC actions appear in character sheet, but not in combat tracker

I imported some characters from D&D Beyond using this converter: https://www.beyond2fgconvert.com/
The import seems to go without any errors, I can inspect the character and everything seems to be as it should. The character DOES have all its weapons and associated actions, as well as the attack/damage dice and modifiers populated.
But then when I put that same character into the combat tracker, no attack (or spell) actions appear like they do for NPCs or creatures.
Any advice?

That is normal, PC actions will not populate in the CT, that is by design :) (it was there in the past if I recall correctly, but PC actions are too many and too complex and cluttered up the CT, so, they got removed from the CT. The CT is mainly a GM tool, players usually use their sheet and hence the actions are now only there :) )

It's behaving as designed.
PC actions have never appeared in the Combat tracker in the 5E ruleset (at least not in years). NPCs typically have fewer actions, and it is useful for the DM to have those actions in the CT to facilitate combat. PCs have way more actions, esp. at high levels, that the CT would quickly become cluttered. And, PCs are not intended to be run from the CT, they are run from the character sheet.

Thanks, makes sense. What's the easiest way to access a character sheet from the CT (as GM)?

Click the icon to the far right on the CT for that character.

Or double click their portrait in the upper left
